This poem relates to Obama's life and the inauguration. Because, its talking about how theres a new light at the end of the tunnel for this nation. A theme in this poem is hope. Also, its sending out a message that a new president will bring a new beginning. This poem makes me feel very proud because I was apart of history. This poem reminds me of things that Barack Obama has said during hes campaign. Like "Yes We Can" and like he promised "Yes We Did"
